What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the public website.
What we do
- Pages work on small, inexpensive phones and on slow connections, and forms keep working when the network drops.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard, has a "skip to content" link and one main heading, and uses headings and landmarks a screen reader can navigate.
- Text and buttons are drawn in colours with enough contrast to read, and pictures that carry meaning have a text alternative.
- Movement on the page stops when your device asks for reduced motion.
- The site speaks English, Twi, Ga and Ewe, and lays itself out right to left for Arabic.
- Tickets can be sent by WhatsApp and SMS as well as email, for people without an email address.
Known limits
Some content comes from organizers โ photographs, documents and videos โ and may not always have a text alternative or captions. Some older staff screens are not yet fully accessible. We are working through them.
Tell us
If something on the site is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us through the contact page. Say which page and what happened, and we will reply and look for a way to help โ including giving you the information in another form.
