Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Vineyard360 collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It is written to meet Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). This is a working draft and should be reviewed by legal counsel before it is relied on.

Who we are

Vineyard360 ("we", "us") runs this website and the event software organizers use through it. When you register for, buy a ticket to, give to or volunteer at an organizer's event, the organizer decides how your details are used for their event and is the data controller for that purpose; we process those details on their behalf. For your own account, the directories and this website, we are the data controller.

You can reach us through the contact page.

What we collect

  • Details you give us: your name, phone number, email address, country and city, and anything you write in a form — a prayer request, a testimony, a review, a volunteer application or a message to an organizer.
  • Details about a purchase: what you bought, the amount, and the reference the payment provider gives us. We never see or store your full card number or your Mobile Money PIN.
  • Details about attending: whether and when your ticket was scanned at the door.
  • Technical details: your IP address, browser and the pages you visit, kept in server logs for security, and the cookies described in our cookie policy.

Why we use it

  • To register you, issue your tickets and send them to you by email, WhatsApp or SMS.
  • To take payments and refunds through the organizer's payment provider.
  • To let the organizer run their event — check-in, buses, welfare, follow-up — where you gave them the details for that purpose.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and spam, and meet our legal obligations.
  • To send you updates only where you asked for them. You can stop them at any time from the link in each message.

Who we share it with

  • The organizer of the event you signed up to.
  • Payment providers that process your payment: Paystack, Flutterwave and CalPay (Cal Bank).
  • Service providers that help us run the service: Cloudflare (security checks, email delivery and file storage), Meta (WhatsApp messages) and our SMS provider.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

We never sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Public information

Some things are public only because you chose to make them so: a testimony you allowed to be shared, a prayer you agreed to show on an event's wall, a review, or a listing in the volunteer or vendor directory. Directory listings never show your phone number or email address. You can hide or remove them at any time.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while your account is open or while an organizer needs them for their event and its accounts, and then for as long as the law requires (for example, financial records). After that they are deleted or made anonymous.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, object to its use, or have it deleted where we no longer need it. Ask us through the contact page. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to Ghana's Data Protection Commission.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change, and show the date of the latest change at the top.
